Happy Canyon Night Show

Every year during the Pendleton Round-Up, hundreds volunteer to take on a role in the Indigenous-led Happy Canyon Night Show, a telling of the colonization of the area from a Native perspective. I covered the event for the East Oregonian in September 2025, capturing behind-the-scenes footage of the play’s actors getting ready as well as key moments during the performance.
